Would 2 small Lava rocks change the PH in my 65 gallon fresh water tank?

I know that lava rocks raises the PH in tanks, but I'm curious to know how much of the rock you need to actually get the PH up in a 65 gallon tank.Would 2 small Lava rocks change the PH in my 65 gallon fresh water tank?
If you need to increase your pH slightly try adding some crushed coral substrate to your filter. It will slowly buffer it. Keep in mind a stable pH is ALWAYS better than a pH that is constantly changing because you're trying to keep it at an ';ideal'; number.Would 2 small Lava rocks change the PH in my 65 gallon fresh water tank?
A lot, like 10 pounds for a small chance.
All lava rock is not the same. Most Lava rock does not increase the ph in your tank. Lava rock is an inert rock. Pumice is PH neutral and will do nothing for your tank.

Thre is hawaii lava rock, colorado lava rock, Australian rock Most lava rocks will not raise the ph that much if at all. Try going with sea shells hidden in the filter.

PH should really not be played with unless there is truly a problem. Just because a fish prefers 7.0 doesn't mean they don't do fine in a 6.5 or 7.5 they are very flexable. Driftwoods and peats lower the ph while sea shells, limestone etc. raise it naturally. Try adding sea shells one at a time let the water go for a day test if you feel you need to raise it more add another shell.
